#81 - System of a Down
When: Thursday August 11, 2005
Where: American Airlines Center - Dallas, TX
Opening Act:  Dunno, don't remember
Special Notes: I won tickets from the Edge and also a pass for the meet & greet before the show. The guys were running late but we did get to meet them and have them sign a CD we brought. Steph had surgery about 3 weeks before this concert so despite the fact we had pit tickets for this concert, we didn't want to get down into the mix. Luckily, one of our friends, Rebecca, is a suite attendant at the AAC and got us into an empty suite that we had all our ourselves. Suite! Oops, I meant sweet! We got a great view of the stage and had a wonderful time at the show. Once again, thanks to 102.1 The Edge for FREE tickets!

#82 - Ozzfest
When: Thursday August 25, 2005
Where: Smirnoff Music Center - Dallas, TX
Acts: Main Stage - Black Sabbath, Velvet Revolver, Mudvayne, Shadows Fall, Black Label Society, In Flames
2nd Stage - Rob Zombie, Killswitch Engage, As I Lay Dying, Mastodon, A Dozen Furies, The Haunted, Arch Enemy, The Black Dahlia Murder, Bury Your Dead, It Dies Today, Soilwork, Trivium, Gizmachi, Wicked Wisdom

Special Notes:
Steph couldn't go because she had to work late so I went at it alone. I had to work that day but went out in the evening to see Velvet Revolver & Black Sabbath. I managed to get down to the front of the pit and got some great pictures and ended up getting a guitar pick from Duff from Velvet Revolver & one from Tony Iommi from Black Sabbath. Pretty sweet! Once again, thanks to 102.1 The Edge for FREE tickets! *Pictures are coming!*

#83 - Depeche Mode
When: Tuesday November 8, 2005
Where: American Airlines Center - Dallas, TX
Opening Act: The Bravery
Special Notes:
If you haven't been able to tell, Depeche Mode is my favorite band of all time so this time, I was going to do what I had to to get great seats. I ended up spending about $300 for a pair of tickets on eBay but they were 4th row! We didn't see any of The Bravery because we met up with our friend Rebecca and chatted with her for a while. After we went to our seats and the show started, I knew it was money well spent! We ended moving up to the 2nd row and had the most awesome view of the stage. I got some great pictures and memories that will last forever. Thanks to me for paying a lot for great seats! *Pictures are coming!*

We had to take a break from concerts due to a few complications in our life that turned everything upside down but don't think that will stop us! We will keep going to concerts. It just might be a while.

#84 - Velvet Revolver/Alice In Chains
When: Thursday September 27, 2007
Where: Smirnoff Music Center - Dallas, TX
Opening Act: Sparta
Special Notes:
This was our first concert after an almost 2 year hiatus. We're back in the game, baby! We were basically there to see Alice In Chains as we've seen Velvet Revolver several times already. When we got there, Sparta was playing so we sat in the seats and watched them finish out there set. Mmmm, not so good. But they're in a band on stage and I'm not so I guess I can't say much. When they were done, we made our way down to the pit and got right up to the front. When Alice In Chains came out, I was kinda shocked at their new lead singer. He was a skinny, black guy with a poofy afro but he sounded great and sang all of the songs with ease. A few songs into the show, the guitarist that was standing right in front of us tossed a guitar pick out into the crowded and it floated right into my hand like it had a magnet in it. If you created an Alice In Chains greatest hits list, that would've been their set list. They played all their good songs. At the end of their set, Jerry Cantrell came over and tossed a few picks out into the crowd and one stuck right on Steph's forehead. Not conventional but that's one way to catch it! We didn't stick around to see Velvet Revolver; been there, done that. We had a great time and thanks to Live 105.3 for FREE tickets! *Pictures are coming!*

Well, that's my concert history...................so far.
